. Mrs. Kim Austin has been principal of Barrett Elementary since its opening in 2002. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Juniata College, her Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from George Mason University, and has completed all course work towards her Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from Virginia Tech. Mrs. Austin is most proud of her "Dream Team" and appreciates all of their hard work and dedication to children. In addition, she credits the success of Barrett to the outstanding individuals who pride themselves in believing it truly is "All About Kids". Brian Fitzgerald Assistant Principal |
. Mr. Brian Fitzgerald was named Assistant Principal of Kate Waller Barrett Elementary School in August of 2007. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise from Virginia Tech in 1996 and his Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Walden University in 2006. He began his career in education at Potomac High School where he taught Special Education, Health & Physical Education, and coached baseball and football. Christy Webb Office Manager |
. Mrs. Webb is the newest addition to our office staff. She has enjoyed living in Stafford for the last four years, after having lived in various parts of the United States and abroad. She spent her childhood in a small agricultural town in Northern California. Christy is married to a career military member with three children who attend Stafford County Public Schools.

Mrs. Parker has been Barrett's office assistant since October of 2006. Originally from Niceville FL, she is married with three grown children. She served five years in the Air Force and has also worked for many years in the airlines industry. . Ms. Pruden, our school's bookkeeper, is proud to be one of the original office staff members. Originally from Atlanta, GA, she grew up in Springfield VA. She moved to the Stafford area in 1995 and has raised 4 wonderful children who also attend Stafford County Public Schools. . Mrs. Arnett is an outstanding school nurse who joined the Barrett team in September 2006. Her Emergency Room Nursing background has given her the knowledge and expertise to handle our every day bumps and bruises. Mrs. Yarnell has been at Barrett Elementary school since 2004. She has a bachelor of science degree from Hawaii Pacific University.
